ClipsHiro

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 September 2026

This policy explains what information ClipsHiro accesses, how it is used and stored, and how you can withdraw access. ClipsHiro is a desktop application that runs on the operator's own computer. It is operated by an independent creator in Belgium (the "operator", "we"). Contact: logand40@gmail.com.

1. ClipsHiro uses YouTube API Services

ClipsHiro uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to YouTube channels you own and to read the public statistics of those videos. By using ClipsHiro you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's collection and use of your data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

2. Information ClipsHiro accesses

When you connect a Google Account, ClipsHiro requests the following permissions (OAuth 2.0 scopes):

ClipsHiro does not read your subscriptions, watch history, comments, private videos, email address or any other account data. It cannot delete or edit videos it did not upload.

3. Information ClipsHiro stores, and where

Everything ClipsHiro stores is kept locally, on the operator's computer. No data is sent to any server operated by us.

Stored YouTube data is kept consistent with the data available from the YouTube API, in accordance with the YouTube API Services Developer Policies.

4. How information is used and shared

Information is used solely to produce, upload, schedule and track the operator's own videos. ClipsHiro does not sell, rent or share Google user data with anyone. It does not serve advertising, does not use analytics or tracking, and does not place cookies or other tracking technologies on your devices. The only cookie is a session cookie used by the local interface when a password is enabled, and it contains no Google data.

To produce a clip, ClipsHiro sends the operator's own content (the channel theme, the script text) to third-party services: a text-generation service to draft scripts, a text-to-speech service to narrate them, and a stock-footage library to search for footage. None of your Google Account data or YouTube data is sent to these services.

5. Revoking access and deleting data

6. Security

The OAuth token is written with owner-only file permissions. When the interface is exposed beyond the local machine, a password is mandatory and every form is protected against cross-site request forgery. ClipsHiro never asks for your Google password: sign-in happens on Google's own pages.

7. Children

ClipsHiro is a professional tool for adult creators. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes and contact
